Ryan: Hey everybody, Ryan here at etrailer.com. Today on our 2018 GMC Acadia, we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Roadmaster Six-wire Trailer Connector. This connector is going to allow our vehicle lights to function properly when we're being flat-towed behind a motor-home for example. It's also gonna give you peace of mind, knowing that all your lights are functioning to keep you safe and legal. Other motorists are gonna appreciate you as well, since they're gonna be able to know what your intentions are while you're going down the road. Now, this product is going to be best for not only replacing any worn out or damaged sockets you may have, but it's also gonna be good for your first initial setup. This is going to allow you to turn your four-pole flat connector into a six-pole.Now, many of our customers wrote in and said they had a little bit of trouble finding a black connector. That's what they really like about this one, it actually blends in to most vehicles a little bit better than, say, either a white or a silver connector. If you're a little unsure on what components to use for your flat-tow setup, that's totally understandable. more

Hopkins Trailer Wiring Adapter Installation - 2014 GMC Acadia

Today on our 2014 GMC Acadia, we're going to be installing the Hopkins 4-pole to 5-pole trailer wiring adapter. This is the short version. The part number is 47515. The 4-pole to 5-pole adapter is going to be a perfect solution for converting your current 4-pole trailer plug-in to work with the 5-pole surge brake style connector. Basically, we just plug in this to our standard 4-pole, and we're going to run our blue wire up, and we're going to tie it in to the reverse light. Now as you can see here, there is a quick disconnect. If need be, if you're going to go back to at standard 4-pole trailer, we can simply pull this off and our wiring will be there for when we need to use it the next time. Then, we can just plug it right back in, and we'll be ready to go after hooking it into our 4-pole. It comes with about that much wire. more
